Internship Opportunity with Twin Cities Track Club

Position Title: Twin Cities Track Club Intern
Location: Twin Cities, MN (Remote & In-Person)

Position Overview: TCTC is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated intern to assist with a variety of club operations. This internship provides a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management, marketing, social media, and working with a diverse group of athletes and community members. The intern will support the race director for the Hopkins Raspberry Run, help organize All Comer meets, promote and plan for the Kids City XC League, and assist with social media campaigns, among other club-related tasks. This role is perfect for a college or grad student (although other candidates will be considered) who is passionate about running and community engagement. The intern will also be welcome to participate in TCTC group runs and social events and take advantage of all discounted merchandise and race entries enjoyed by TCTC members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with race directing for club events.

  • Organize and support All Comer meets.

  • Assist with marketing efforts for the Kids City XC League.

  • Help manage social media accounts and create engaging content for campaigns.

  • Support with general club business operations and tasks.

  • Engage with the local running community and build relationships with members of the Minnesota running industry.

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate: College or graduate student (other candidates will be considered).

  • A passion for running and fitness, and a desire to contribute to the local running community.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

  • Previous experience with event planning or marketing is a plus, but not required.

Details:

  • Stipend: $300 per month

  • Hours: 3-5 hours per week (flexible - weeks with Raspberry Run and track meets will be a bit busier)

  • Location: Primarily remote with occasional in-person work (e.g., event support and occassional meetings with Executive Director of TCTC).

  • Reimbursement: Gas expenses will be reimbursed for in-person duties.

  • Program Dates: May 19 - August 15
